Q:How long has the practice (or DR.) been in business?
A:Barrington Orthopedic Specialists was founded in 1979 by Keith Schroeder, M.D.

Q:What hospitals are Barrington Orthopedic Specialists affiliated with?
A:Barrington Orthopedic Specialists’ physicians are affiliated with Alexian Brothers Medical Center, St Alexius Medical Center, Northwest Community Hospital and Sherman Hospital.

Q:What are the hours of operation?
A:

We see patients Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:30pm with evening hours on Mondays until 8:00pm, Tuesdays until 7:20pm and Thursdays until 8pm.  We also have hours available on Saturdays from 8:00am to 12:00pm.

Our phones are answered Monday through Thursday between 8am and 8pm, Fridays between 8am and 5:30pm and Saturdays from 8am - 12pm.  You will be directed to call the answering service if calling after hours.

Our Immediate Orthopedic Care is open in Schaumburg Monday through Friday from 6:00pm to 10:00pm and Saturday from 12:00pm to 4:00pm.

Q:Where are we located?

Q:Do I need to come in earlier than my appointment time?
A:Yes, please arrive 10 minutes early if you have already pre-registered over the phone.  Please attempt to pre-register by calling (847)285-4200 and asking for Central Registration.  If you are not able to do so, please arrive 30 minutes early to complete the registration process.

Q:What should I bring to my appointment?
A:

You will need to bring your insurance card(s), list of medications, allergies and other pertinent medical information.

Our physicians ask that you bring any test results and/or x-rays that will assist them in your care. If you are required to pay a co-pay at the time of your appointment it will be collected when you check in.

Q:Will I receive a confirmation call?
A:Yes, our staff will call you the business day before your appointment as a reminder.
