Patient Reviews
  • "I am having pain in my lower back and numbness in my left leg. The doctor took X-rays and discovered problems with some of my disc's and referred me for therapy. He also gave me prescriptions for muscle relaxers and pain medication. I thought he was very thorough, polite, and professional. I have an appointment with the doctor coming up following up after therapy. I am very pleased with the services."

"I am 82-years-old, been seen by many doctors and they all told me the same thing, "too old and too risky for back surgery";  A friend of mine recommended I go see Dr. Rabinowitz, my angel, as I call him, because he gave me back my life.  Before my surgery, my life was nonexistent, there were days I wanted God to take me because I could no longer take the pain.   I thank God every day for guiding Dr. Rabinowitz this tough surgery and also for putting him in my path, without him, I have no idea where I would be today.  Thank you, my Angel, I am forever grateful and will never forget you."

"Dr. Rabinowitz did back surgery on me in April of 2011, and put in a plate and a couple of pins and felt great after surgery. His assistant was absolutely great and treated me with kindness. Yes I do like, and appreciate, his service he did for me."

"I was having chronic neck pain. I had numbness down my left arm, and it also felt like pins and needles. My husband called to make an appointment with Dr. Rabinowitz. He had done my second neck fusion in 2001. They got me in the next day. After meeting with him, I set up an appointment for a MRI. I saw the doctor the day after to go over the results. He did not waste any time in scheduling me for surgery.  After I woke up, the pain was gone. After weeks of healing, I started physical therapy through 2 of their locations. From start to finish, they gave excellent care. The staff was very helpful. The physical therapists are the best. I could not have been in better hands. I highly recommend them."

"I came to Barrington Orthopedic Specialists with acute back pain that was affecting my everyday activities, including a busy workout schedule. I love to run, bike, and train in the gym, and it was becoming difficult to simply walk around and move without pain. Dr. Rabinowitz and his associates quickly diagnosed my condition, and explained what was going on in easy-to-understand terms. I was prescribed physical therapy, which I elected to take at Barrington Orthopedic Specialists. My physical therapist, Marissa was awesome! She was great at listening to my feedback on where I was feeling pain, and she worked in lots exercises and routines to treat my issue. She also gave me a lot of good maintenance exercises to do at home, which I still use today to keep pain-free. I found the doctors, staff and facilities at Barrington Orthopedic Specialists to be top-notch. Everyone is really friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend them for any orthopedic treatment!"

"I came to see Dr. Rabinowitz when I woke up with an extreme stiff neck. I couldn't move my neck from side to side. Dr. Rabinowitz took an x-ray of my spine and diagnosed me with arthritis in my spine. He referred me to have physical therapy at Barrington Orthopedic Specialists, which I did. I am now pain free."

    - Jacquelyn G.

"I had a back surgery in 2011 that went well. Everything was as it was told to me. What is more important is this June, the night before I went on a cruise and I could not cancel, the doctor called in some medicine that allowed me to get to the cruise. My back spasms stopped. I always go to Barrington Orthopedics with my whole family especially my two boys with their sports injuries. I am always thankful they are there."

    - Richard L.

"I had back problems spanning years. Dr. Rabinowitz tried everything short of surgery first, which impressed me. Finally, I had to have a double fusion in sL4, L5 and S1 in 2009. The second night in the hospital, the nurse asked me 'how is the pain' and I looked at her trying to understand which pain she meant as I was only one day removed from surgery. She said, 'the pain that made you have the operation'. I had to think a moment and finally told her, 'there is no more pain'. I don't think she believed me and asked me twice, ' Are you sure, not pain?' None at all?' I said that the pain I was feeling for 3 years was no longer there. When I went to get the stiches removed and had an x-ray taken, the x-ray tech asked me again, 'how is the pain?' and I told her there was no pain anymore. She too said 'No pain at all?' and I said yes, none. Of course the therapy and recovery had its moments but that was to be expected. When I went into the office for my final meeting with Dr. Rabinowitz, I hopped up onto the table and he said "I guess I know how you're feeling". After years of back pain, not being able to lift my Grandchildren, I was my old self again."
