Barrington Orthopedic Specialists (BOS), Immediate Orthopedic Care (IOC) along with the Schaumburg Surgery Center (SSC) are taking all necessary steps to protect our patients and staff from the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
During this time, we are screening patients by phone for exposure to the virus, or symptoms associated with the virus. If you have known exposure, waiting results of COVID-19 test, or have a fever, cough, or shortness of breath, we ask you do not schedule an appointment for 5 days, or obtain a negative test result. If you are unsure if you should be seen, please call our office at (847) 285-4200 and we will help make that determination with you. We will use similar criteria for any surgical procedure that may be needed.
We will continue our rigorous cleaning and screening process. Masking will be voluntary for patients, visitors, and staff. If positivity rates return to High, on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website, Barrington Orthopedic Specialists reserves the right to resume mandatory masking. In addition, we are asking the patient to bring only 1 additional visitor with them to their appointment. If you need additional visitors such as a translator, caregiver, and/or discussing surgical care, you may do so.
After you schedule your appointment and you start to experience any symptoms such as fever, cough, and difficulty breathing, please call us at 847-285-4200 to reschedule your appointment.
These unprecedented times require extraordinary actions to help keep patients and staff safe and help reduce the spread of the virus. We ask for your patience and to join us in the recommended practices to limit risks.
