No crazy waiting like in some other practices. Both Dr Alvi and Jason, his NP, took their time to answer all my questions and concerns at my first visit. Never felt rushed or that I was taking up too much time. Because of this, I decided that Dr Alvi would be the one to replace my left hip. I had surgery on 1/29/24 and could not be happier. Things went well and I was up and moving hours after the surgery. Discharged home that same day. Haven’t needed more than Tylenol for pain since the day after my surgery. Now at my two week post op visit, I am cleared to drive and really have no restrictions. I would recommend Dr Alvi to anyone looking for a great joint replacement doctor!!

- Posted OnFebruary 2, 2024Review Author PatTwo months ago Dr. Alvi gave me a total hip replacement. There are not enough superlatives to praise the system of patient care he and his team provide. I was assigned a nurse navigator for questions and concerns before and after surgery. My navigator, Sonya, was knowledgeable and an excellent listener. If she couldn't answer a question, she sent the cocnern to the clinic staff, who were equally wonderful, especially Jenny, one of Dr. Alvi's amazing PAs. The whole team, including Dr. Alvi, welcomed questions and answered them in a way I could understand. They arranged at home and outpatient physical therapy so I'm on the road to recovery. Hopefully I won't need another joint replacement, but if I do, Alvi at Barrington Ortho is my top choice for care. Thanks, Dr. Alvi!

He made me feel so comfortable and at ease. He got the pain taken care of right away. I’d never see anyone else. What a phenomenal person and team he is and has.
