Barrington Orthopedic Specialists (BOS), Immediate Orthopedic Care (IOC) along with the Schaumburg Surgery Center (SSC) are taking all necessary steps to protect our patients and staff from the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Effective Tuesday, May 26th, 2020 we have re-opened our Immediate Orthopedic Care (IOC) clinic in the evenings, as well as Saturdays.  In addition, we are expanding our hours in each of our offices for physician visits, rehab and MRI services.   We continue to take all the appropriate precautions to protect you, our patient, as well as our physicians and staff.

During this time, we are screening patients by phone for exposure to the virus, or symptoms associated with the virus.  If you have known exposure, waiting results of COVID-19 test, or have a fever, cough or shortness of breath, we ask you do not schedule an appointment for 14 days, or obtain a negative test result.   If you are unsure if you should be seen, please call our office at (847) 285-4200 and we will help make that determination with you.  We will use similar criteria for any surgical procedure that may be needed.

The practice is continuing to offer Tele-health visits with your physician for the foreseeable future.

We will continue our rigorous cleaning and screening process.  All patients and visitors are required to wear a mask covering their nose and mouth when entering the building.  Your temperature will be taken upon arrival, and we are obligated to cancel your visit if you are exhibiting a fever.  In addition, we are asking the patient to come to the appointment alone, or if they need assistance, to be accompanied by a single person.  Only the patient will be taken back to the exam room with an exception of one person to assist the patient if medically necessary.

If you have an in-person appointment and start to experience any symptoms such as fever, cough, and difficulty breathing, please call us at 847-285-4200 to reschedule your appointment.

These unprecedented times require extraordinary actions to help keep patients and staff safe, and help reduce the spread of the virus.  We ask for your patience and to join us in the recommended practices to limit risks.

It is extremely important to us, and our community, that we all do our part. We will continue to keep you informed. Please reach out to us with any questions or concerns. Our patients and community health are our top priority.

Sincerely,
Barrington Orthopedic Specialists
