Meet Daniel Mok, DO

Dr. Daniel Mok is a fellowship-trained physician specializing in interventional pain medicine and physical medicine and rehabilitation. He treats pain of the neck, back, spine and joints, with a focus on helping patients get back to the activities they care about through minimally invasive, non-surgical treatment.

Dr. Mok earned his medical degree from the DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, TN. He completed a preliminary internal medicine year at Jewish Mercy Hospital and his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Kansas Medical Center, followed by fellowship training in Anesthesia Pain Medicine at Washington University in St. Louis.

Before medicine, Dr. Mok earned bachelor's and master's degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Louisville, a background that shapes how he looks at movement, mechanics and function. His research has focused on nerve ablation for knee pain before and after total knee replacement and on outcomes of spinal cord stimulation, and his work earned a Best of Meeting Award at the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine's annual pain medicine meeting, selected from more than 400 posters.

Dr. Mok has a long record of community service, including providing monthly musculoskeletal care to underserved patients through the JayDoc Musculoskeletal Clinic in Kansas City. Outside the office, he enjoys rock climbing, summit hiking and running, and has traveled independently to many countries around the world.
