Patient Reviews
  • “I severely broke my leg and this resulted in a twist fracture from the ankle to mid tibia and broke my fibula as well. Dr. Rotstein took charge and immediately identified my issues and then gave me the alternatives available to me. The procedure was done quickly and the recovery has been miraculous. They also have physical therapy in house and this makes you close to the Doctors for any issues you may have. All x-rays and MRI needs are also in house and this makes it so much easier to get what you need without running all over. I think the team at Barrington Ortho is phenomenal and I think Dr. Rotstein is the right hand of God.”

    – Lloyd W.

“We feel so fortunate to have found Dr. Rotstein and that he was the Surgeon that we chose to perform ACL surgery on my daughter. The surgery went extremely well and the rehab has gone just as well. Our follow-up appointments with Dr. Rotstein were always quick and on-time which was so nice and we had full faith in him knowing when to release her to play soccer again. As we are one week out from our last appointment with Dr. Rotstein, we need to tell you that we could not have been more pleased with the level of care, service and overall compassion that Dr. Rotstein demonstrated, as well as the rest of the Barrington Orthopedic team. My daughter's rehab with Alyson at the Bartlett facility has been just as great! She has worked so had alongside my daughter with an end goal of getting her back on the soccer field which will happen one week from today. Thanks again to all of you - truly!”

    – Heather K.

"I have had three surgeries with Dr. Rotstein. These surgeries were done because Dr. Rotstein exhausted all other alternatives. He does not like to do unnecessary surgery. Dr. Rotstein explains everything very concisely and answers every question throughly until I completely understand it. Dr. Rotstein treats me as a person and not a subject that has to be seen as quickly as possible. He is one of the best doctors/surgeons I have had in my 75 years of life. I have told several people about Dr. Rotstein should they ever need orthopedic surgery."

    – Tom B.

"Called for an appointment on Monday and they got me in the same day. I like the fact that if my issue is not what I thought...they can refer me to someone in the same building that will be just as good."

    – Everett D.

"Dr. Rotstein is very hands on and he has a great bedside manner. He listens when you speak with him. He is understanding & compassionate."

    – Charles S.

  •  "After having cortisone shots, laser therapy, and hyalgan injections on my knee over the course of 3 years through a pain management physician, I had an MIR done in late 2014. We found that there was a meniscus tear. I was told that these types of tears can self-heal, but since none of the previous attempts worked, I decided to investigate a surgical option. I came to Dr. Rotstein with no knowledge of him other than he was accepted by my insurance and having a comfortable feeling going to him based on his background. We decided to do the surgery since I had tried all other options that he would have suggested. Surgery went well, as did the physical therapy that I received (utilizing Barrington Orthopedic Specialists' PT area). Would I do it again? In a heartbeat. The entire office staff is very professional and caring."

    - Grace L.

"I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Rotstein. He is very knowledgeable and has a great bedside manner. He did my surgery in September and my knee is great. Also, David in physical therapy was wonderful. He encouraged and pushed me just enough. I HIGHLY recommend them both."

    - Kathryn J.

"Great doctor & surgeon. Good bedside manner. Knowledgeable & thorough"

    – Charles S.

"Dr. Rotstein was very efficient at getting me back up and on my feet. I had a torn ACL and everything went perfectly according to plan. I like the fact that the rehab specialists are connected to doctors at Barrington Orthopedic Specialists and could speak with my doctor about my progress. Excellent experience and I'm back!"

    – Everett D.

"What a great place! Dr. Rotstein was not only professional, but caring. He did what he thought would be best without jumping into surgery. In the end, I did end up having surgery and that was the best thing I could have done. The staff and all are very nice!  Also had PT..in the same building, which made it very convenient. The physical therapist I had was outstanding!!! I hope she never loses her knack for genuinely caring for people...thanks Nishi Patel!"

    – Donna A.

  • "I fell on a cruise ship due to hurricane Hermine winds. I was badly bruised on hand, back, shoulder, and upper leg/hip. Still had pain on upper leg/hip and wanted to make sure I didn't fracture it. They took X-rays. Dr. Rotstein came in and assured me I'd be ok. Very personable. It was my first time having him as a doctor and would definitely see him in the future if the need arose."

    - Janice

"Dr. Rotstein and his assistants were very profession in providing care for a broken wrist. He always provided a good explanation of the situation, treatment, and expectations for rehabilitation. All appointments were on time and very efficient work with staff team to step through all the necessary steps to finish up and get on my way. I hope to never need this type of treatment again, but would return without hesitation and also recommend Dr. Rotestein and his associates to friends. The group providing follow-up occupational therapy for restoring wrist strength and mobility also did an excellent job and were very friendly and effective in their work."

    – David P.

"I have had a great experience with Dr. Rotstein so far. I had no idea what orthopedic doctor to pick when I developed some knee pain that was not healing. I felt happy with Dr. Rotstein right away at our first visit. A week ago I had a procedure done on my knee and it all went very well. I also work at NCH and asked a friend of mine who is a Clinical Nurse Manager on the Ortho Unit and she said her nurses gave the "thumbs up" when mentioning Dr. Rotstein so I was very happy in my decision before having the procedure. He was very kind and explained things very well and I felt at ease with him. I would definitely recommend Dr. Rotstein!"

    – Jennifer H.

"Dr. Rotstein is very personable and professional. I was very anxious about my surgery but his care made me feel comfortable and at ease prior to the procedure."

    – Debra Z.

"This was my second surgery with Dr. Rotstein (I have had 6 surgeries at Barrington Orthopedic Specialists). Dr. Rotstein is exceptional in that he takes time to explain everything I ask him. He is never in a rush when he is with me. I would never hesitate to have Dr. Rotstein perform another surgery on me. Hopefully this won't have to happen. Six is enough."

    - Tom B.

"I tore my meniscus and he fixed it quickly and great. NO pain after surgery, hardly a scar too."

    – Victoria C.

"Wonderful patient care from the beginning! Called from the urgent care center after x-rays revealed mom's wrist was broken. We had an appointment that same afternoon. The staff was caring and very competent. The doctor took time to make mom and me feel comfortable with the care plan. Would definitely recommend Barrington Orthopedic Specialists."

    - Helen B.

    "All was good."

    - Jim C.

  • "Dr. Rotstein did a fantastic job with my knee teplacement. I would recommend him to anyone looking for an orthopedic specialist. In fact, I am looking to get my other knee done this August."

    - Lonnie S.

"Dr. Rotstein made me feel comfortable. He made me laugh when I was nervous. He is a good doctor and great at what he does. He is considerate to all his patients and tells them the way it is and not in all medical jargon."

    - Claudia P.

"I had a shoulder injury and ended up needing surgery last summer. Dr. Rotstein is the best! He takes his time and explains things thoroughly."

    - Ethel S.

"I was very impressed with Dr. Rotstein. He took all the time necessary to explain my health issue and what my options were. I am pleased that he takes a conservative approach to treatment."

    - Marlene G.

"He promised he would get me golfing by the end of March and he came through. The staff was very helpful explaining the procedure and keeping me informed. Thanks!"

    - Richard B.

"About a year ago, I tripped over a low fence, falling, and landing on the back of my right hand. I broke my wrist, which in turn, aggravated carpel tunnel in both hands. I was treated with care, respect, and gentleness. Not only did I voice concerns to the attendant about the pain in my arms, but Dr. Rotstein heard  me and addressed those concerns immediately. He did not prescribe narcotics during the healing of my wrist, rather encouraged activities that would assist in the healing process. The physical therapist spent the necessary time to ensure I had knowledge in how to cleanse my wounds following the surgeries and exercises that would assist in the healing of my wrist. Waiting time for appointments was very minimal. The entire staff has fantastic listening skills and are professionals in their fields. Insurance claims were processed accurately and the billing department is efficient. I am very thankful to the Lord for answering our prayers and leading us to appropriate care."

    - Vicky K.

"I found Dr. Rotstein to be very professional, very informative about my procedure, and genuinely interested in answering my concerns. He has a warm nature and is very reassuring, which is very important when one is anxious about preparing for a surgery. He did a wonderful job with my total knee replacement. My physical therapist was surprised at how quickly I have recovered. Overall, a procedure that has eliminated my awful knee pain and I am thankful for that."

    - Kathie R.

  • "Dr. Rotstein was very thorough in explaining the problem I was having and game me several options for dealing with it. I elected to have hand surgery for my trigger finger condition on my right hand. I had no complications from the surgery and my hand is now pain free and I have approximately 90% usage of it. I work on it every day to improve the flexibility and I am confident that it will continue to improve. I would see Dr. Rotstein again with no concerns at all."

    – Jerry C.

Doctor Rotstein was very professional and I am very pleased with my results at this time. I am very pleased I chose him. The staff I worked with in rehab was also excellent."

    – Terry N.

    "Excellent, thank you!"

    – Amanda L.

"I found Dr. Rotstein, as well as all the staff, to take an interest in me and my health issue. He did not rush me out of the office as some doctors do. He explained my condition to me in detail, answered my questions and we addressed the issue. As far as I am concerned, he is the doctor to go to if you have orthopedic problems."

    – Marene G.

"All of the doctors I have seen have been very professional, knowledgeable, courteous, kind, and respectful. I refer anyone that is having any kind of a problem to them and tell them how great they will be treated and that they are the best!"

    - Danielle

"I wasn't sure how the office would be with my 4-year-old as the only experience we have had with Barrington Orthopedic Specialists was with my 16-year-old daughter. My husband has also been seen at your office, but with little ones, it does take some loving TLC. When my littlest one got hurt, I was very impressed at how well the staff, the X-ray techs, and the doctor all worked wonderfully with her. Even the gentleman that casted her—WOW.  I was so impressed with how he talked to her and totally made it comfortable for her. Thank you for all you do. We LOVE your office, and I do recommend you to my friends."

    - Karen

"I have had three previous surgeries with Barrington Orthopedic Specialists. All through the surgeries, post op, and follow-up, I couldn't be more satisfied. The doctors and staff were all very professional and pleasant. I have recommended several other people to Barrington Orthopedic Specialists because of my past experiences. My most recent occurrence is due to a workman's comp claim. Dr. Rotstein diagnosed my injury and recommended physical therapy. Thus far, I have had twelve physical therapy sessions. Every physical therapist has been very professional, certainly know their profession extremely well, and my recovery has been quicker than I expected. In summary, I can't say enough positive things about Barrington Orthopedic Specialists."

    - Thomas B.

  • "While visiting Chicago last month from Texas, I herniated a disc in my lower back. I was in a panic as to how I would be able to perform my task as guest speaker at the convention I was attending or how would I get on a plane to fly home? Dr. Rotstein was very compassionate and was able to treat me to the point I could do some of my presentation and make it home to see my regular doctor. I will be forever grateful that I chose the remarkable physician to help me."

    - Janice E.

"Dr. Rotstein and the gentleman who does the casting are wonderful, very knowledgeable, and professional."
